Pax Autocratica Base Management & Logistics Guide
Resource Transfer Station level 2 unlocks hauling drones, foundation limits rose sharply and a difficulty panel arrived. What the August-September updates changed.

Direct answer
Base efficiency comes down to three things: whether resources move on their own, whether build limits and terrain are enough, and whether your people are stuck hauling instead of producing.
The official maintenance notes from August and September 2026 touched all three: upgrading the Resource Transfer Station to level 2 unlocks hauling drones, Ore Refinery and Wood Processing Plant output joined the resource transfer system, foundation limits rose sharply with batch dismantling added, and a colony difficulty customisation panel arrived.
What the updates changed
| Date | Change | What it means for the base |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-09-11 | ST-11: Resource Transfer Station level 2 unlocks hauling drones; Ore Refinery and Wood Processing Plant output joins the transfer system; batch dismantling for foundations and decorative buildings | Logistics shifts from carrying to automation, and rebuilding gets cheaper |
| 2026-09-11 | ST-11: loading process optimised to stop saves getting stuck or failing to start | Larger saves are more reliable |
| 2026-08-25 | AG-25: new colony difficulty customisation panel covering work efficiency, time progression, stamina use and conflict behaviour; foundation limit raised significantly | You set the pace, and expansion stops hitting the ceiling |
| 2026-08-25 | AG-25: victory chests auto-collect drops across the map; greenhouse seeds and animal farm eggs return to their buildings; vehicle durability restorable on rest planets | Less running around and redoing work |
| 2026-08-25 | AG-25: Street Lamp cap from 50 to 999; lower shadow cost on medium and low graphics; foundation rendering optimised | Bigger layouts without losing frames |
| 2026-08-27 | AG-27: Trading Post sells items to merchant ships; ESC hides the HUD temporarily; combat points in Auryto and Serina sit closer to the base | Stock converts to money faster and the first fight is closer |
| 2026-08-28 | Maintenance notes: class-based sorting in Soldier Management and inventory; The Leader’s Care quest shows the soldier’s name | Finding and assigning people gets faster as the roster grows |
The order to build in
- Get resources flowing first. Make sure mining, timber and smelting output has somewhere to go, then upgrade the Resource Transfer Station to level 2 for hauling drones. Only when people stop hauling does output scale.
- Then expand foundations and layout. The cap is higher now, and zoned or loop layouts are easier to maintain than a dense block. Use batch dismantling for big rebuilds instead of deleting piece by piece.
- Then set the difficulty panel. It changes work efficiency and time progression. Decide whether you want fast and pressured or slow and steady before sizing the base.
- Then chase the small automation wins. Seeds and eggs returning automatically, auto-collected chest loot and similar changes save daily repetition.
- Check once before each day cycle. Wage balance, gatherers stuck on hauling, and buildings idle for lack of space.
Verifying the change landed
- After upgrading the Resource Transfer Station to level 2, watch for drones joining hauling. Seeing one drone on one trip does not prove every production line is connected.
- Test the rebuild speed with a batch dismantle. If individual objects still refuse to be removed, note which type.
- Change one difficulty panel option (time progression, for example), load the same save and confirm the pace actually differs before adjusting further.
- After an update, load the large saves that used to hang so you know whether the loading fix covers your case.
What is still unknown
- The developer describes changes without numbers. Drone capacity, the exact foundation limit and the difficulty panel ranges are all unpublished.
- The difficulty panel changes work speed and time progression, so any “output per hour” table online is meaningless unless it states the panel settings.
- Drones need Resource Transfer Station level 2, but the upgrade’s material and time cost is not listed.
- ST-11 says the team is shifting focus to larger Early Access goals such as colony depth, co-op and new systems. Maintenance patches may become less frequent, so this list has to be refreshed when new notes appear.
- This page covers base and logistics only. Cash is in the credit chips guide and people in the loyalty and fear guide.
FAQ
How do I unlock hauling drones?
Upgrade the Resource Transfer Station to level 2. That is the condition stated in the September 11, 2026 maintenance notes.
Is the foundation limit high enough now?
The August 25, 2026 update raised the buildable number significantly, but the exact figure is not published. Whether it is enough depends on how densely you build.
Does the difficulty panel affect efficiency advice in guides?
Yes. It directly changes work efficiency and time progression, so any efficiency comparison has to state the panel settings.
