Pax Autocratica Credit Chips: Fast Money Farming Guide
Credit chips pay your soldiers every day cycle. See the confirmed ways to earn them, three money loops and the check to run before a missed wage.

Direct answer
Credit chips are the colony’s cash flow, and every day cycle spends them on soldier wages.
The steadiest loop is: run expeditions for boss materials and insignias, turn them into valuable gear at the crafting benches, then sell that gear to merchants. The August 27, 2026 update lets the Trading Post sell items to visiting merchant ships, which makes it the easiest official income channel to verify.
Where the money goes
- Daily wages. Soldiers are paid in credit chips each day cycle. Player guides agree: once the balance runs short, morale drops sharply and a riot follows. Wages are not optional.
- A safety buffer. More soldiers in more specialised jobs means higher wages. Keeping a few days of pay in reserve is cheaper than calming the colony afterwards.
- Crafting and research. Gear and blueprints also consume chips and materials, so expansion has to keep pace with income.
Confirmed ways to earn
| Channel | What the developer said | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Selling at the Trading Post | August 27, 2026: unwanted items can be sold to visiting merchant ships | Spare gear and materials turn into money instead of sitting in storage |
| Victory chest auto-collect | August 25, 2026: victory chests now collect all drops across the map | Less looting time, more sellable loot per expedition |
| Higher blueprint drops in sectors 2 and 3 | August 25, 2026 | Newly unlocked weapon blueprints come faster in the mid and late game |
| Special Soldier work speed scales with rarity | August 25, 2026 | Higher-rarity soldiers in key jobs raise long-term output |
Three loops that actually work
- Craft and sell (main loop). Bring boss materials and insignias home, turn them into high-value pieces (player testing puts chest plates at the top), then sell them at the Trading Post. The rarer the material, the more it deserves a crafting slot.
- Take the chips (easy loop). When a level-up or chest offers a reward choice and you do not need supplies, pick credit chips. Higher difficulty raises the absolute payout, per player testing rather than official numbers.
- Repeat expeditions (gap filler). Planets with distress calls and repeatable boss fights supply steady materials. Once Storage Pod rewards are maxed out, take credits from the remaining pods.
The check to run around every expedition
- Before leaving, confirm the balance can cover two day cycles even if the expedition earns nothing.
- On the trip, prioritise materials you can actually craft with instead of grabbing everything.
- Back at base, process the inventory immediately: craft what you can, sell the rest, and never leave valuable gear occupying storage.
- Check the balance once more before the day cycle resolves. If it is near the danger line, sell the most valuable item in storage first.
- Two cycles in a row near the danger line means expansion is outrunning income. Stop adding jobs until it balances.
What is still unknown
- The developer has never published chip prices, drop rates or merchant buy prices. Figures such as “10,000+ per piece” or “about 12,000 on high difficulty” come from player testing and change between builds.
- The exact wage formula is not public. Headcount, job type and policies can all affect it.
- The August 25, 2026 update raised some drop rates and rarity payoffs, so income videos recorded before August may already be outdated.
- This page covers cash flow only. Build order lives in the base management guide and people management in the loyalty and fear guide.
FAQ
Can selling gear alone fund the whole colony?
Early on, yes. Later it slows down because crafting slots get tied up. The stable pattern combines all three loops: craft and sell, reward choices, and expedition materials.
Does difficulty change income?
It changes the absolute chip payouts, per player testing. The developer only confirms that the difficulty customisation panel and reward choices exist, without numbers.
What happens after a missed wage?
Morale drops sharply and protests begin. Sell inventory to recover cash first, then calm people down; doing it the other way round is expensive.
